Simeon Centre Counselling Service

Many of us at times long for someone to sit and listen to us and essentially the Simeon Centre provides an opportunity for you to have time to be heard. A trained counsellor is there to listen to whatever you wish to talk about. Solutions to problems are not offered but rather time, attention and respect, to help you to resolve conflicts, make decisions for yourself and come to terms with things that cannot be changed. People are accepted as they are, to enable them to talk freely about themselves without fear of being judged. Confidentiality is essential to this whole process and all our counsellors work to the Ethical Framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. They are also subject to ongoing training and regular supervision. The counsellor's work with people affirms both the common humanity and the uniqueness of each individual. The Simeon Centre is staffed by volunteers who give their time freely each week. We have both male and female counsellors. The centre is open each week day from 9.00am until 4.00pm and each Tuesday and Wednesday evening.
